Amalfi Coast

The Villa on the Amalfi Coast, is an old stony fisherman’s ruin and has become an exquisite house for special guests. It is situated in Praiano, a little town between Amalfi and Positano on the most beautiful coast in the world-the Amalfitana. The house lies isolated in a 5.000 square metre area with private sea-frontage. The opportunity to spend the entire day outside is one of the great advantages of life by the sea. The garden serves as an extension of the house, with sculpted hedges, greenery a fountain and stone benches. Here you will find the most beautiful view on the planet. The perfect placement of the sky and the sea create a singularly magnificent panorama. The sea is close enough to recognize every ripple and wave, yet it is as a great plain. Passing ships are the actors on an extravagant set of islands and mountain sides. Around the park area you will find various spots to rest, read, or just to relax. Those who prefer to take a dip in the open sea can access the private beach with umbrellas and sun loungers by a series of steps descending the cliffs. A small restroom has been created to avoid running up and down those steps. The Villa has six bedrooms: two suites and a double room on the first floor, three double rooms with a large terrace on the second floor. As is common in private houses you will find good old furniture mixed with the new. Each room has a bookblock – a glass cube on wheels with various stacks organised by themes. The suites are comprised of two connected rooms. Every room is 4.30 meters high with a domed ceiling, stone floor and a view of the sea and the garden. At the end of the garden by the sea you can find the Tower which was built in 1568. It is completely renovated and consists of two levels: ground floor with entrance, large living room, bowshaped terrace, kitchen, bathroom and guest room; second floor with two double bedrooms, one guest room, two bathrooms and a large semicircular terrace. You can access the Tower from the street by 200 steps, from the sea directly by boat landing on the beach, from the air by a direct helicopter transfer to the platform.
