The Itria valley where this unique house sits is a surprisingly fertile area full of olive trees and vineyards. The beaches (both rock and sand) of the Adriatic are not far from here, hill towns to discover in the valley and nearby mountains do deserve a visit.This wonderful Trullo is made from the local stone, the walls are more than a meter thick as a protection and there are no doors inside, only columns of stone and curtains separating the rooms. The Trullo was the 17th-19th century farmer’s home. The houses with their tall conical tops and white round bases look like tiny feudal towers. The effect is a countryside of small white castles poking out from the olive trees. The owner has restored with excellent taste and furnished it with comfort, antiques and the right stuff including a very nicely outfitted kitchen. In the Trullo there is a living room, a dining room and a fully equipped kitchen in the conical house and in the Lamia there is a kitchenette for dining as well. The Trullo has a double bedroom and one bathroom. The Lamia has two twin bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen and a children room with two bunk beds. The adjoining Lamia has a twin bedroom with a bathroom. In the garden is located a wonderful swimming pool surrounded by lavender, olive and apricot trees. Weekly Rentals from Saturday to Saturday;check in from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.; Check out within 10:00 a.m.; swimming pool opened from 25th June to 5th September; no pets allowed.
