Maremma

This fascinating Relais is located in a characteristic town of the Maremma countryside. The town stands out along the crest of a tufaceous rock promontory of rare beauty surrounded by a green valley crossed by old Lente and Meleta rivers. The area is rich in Etruscan-Roman archeological ruins such as villages, medieval castles and sulphureous thermal baths. The Relais is composed by two structures just 25 meters distant: the First Villa was in 1200 an ancient customs house and the Second Villa which was built in 1800, still maintains the evocative signs of time. The Second Villa is divided into two apartments and must be rented only together with the First Villa. In front of the Relais there is a beautiful swimming pool and a clay tennis court. The First Villa (the pink house) is a 250 square meters house recently restored and composed by seven rooms developed onto two floors. On the ground floor there is a wide living room with fireplace, a dining room, one double bedroom, one twin bedroom, one small studio with two beds, a large fully equipped kitchen with wooden oven and two bathrooms. On the first floor there is a luminous living room with fireplace and a dining area. In the attic there is a small kitchen, a small bathroom and an original double bedroom with big stone vaults ceiling. This Villa opens onto a large porch and has a beautiful terrace with a stunning view on the Mount Amiata and on the Argentario. The Second Villa is surrounded by evocative olive tress and vineyards and it is divided into two apartments. In the apartment on the ground floor there is a living room with fireplace with a dining area, a fully equipped american kitchen, one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and one bathroom. By an external staircase you can access to the first floor in which is located the second apartment. In this apartment there is a dining room with a corner kitchen, a living room with fireplace, one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and one bathroom. On the outdoor patio guests can dine and relax surrounded by a peaceful atmosphere. Guests can either rent one or both Villas. Should you rent just one the other will always remain empty.
