South Tyrol

This wonderful Chalet is located in South Tyrol where the magic of nature fascinates every time and in every season. The basic idea was to create a cavern offering protection on the backside with a full opening on the front side. The gigantic southern looking glass front while offering the inhabitants a marvellous view of the opposite mountains, catches the heat of the sun which then circulates through the whole building thanks to a huge conservatory. The arrangement of the garden is characterised by minimal style: wild aromatic herbs, mountain vegetation surrounding the pond and the implementation of uncut stones. The architect combined the archaic form of the round tower with some smart ideas such as the electronically controlled steel drawbridge, which makes the house unreachable for uninvited guests. The dwelling space of about 500 m2 is divided on 4 floors, which are linked with each other through a generous staircase at the backside. On the entrance level you can find two guests/children double rooms (both with an additional extension bed) with bath/WC and terrace/balcony. The lower level has a big double bedroom with separate dressing room, double washbasin, bath, shower and toilet clothed in white marble. This room is not for rent since it holds all the personal belongings of the owners that use the house when is not rented. Next to it there is a spacious equipped home office available to the guests. The kitchen area is combined optically through a glass case with the dining recess and a generous settee. From there the shining winter garden with its quadratic carpet and the typical homey Tyrolean Stube can be reached. At the bottom another highlight: the greenish glimmering swimming pool right in the middle of stone walls, a fascinating grotto. A hidden terrace with a gigantesque panorama, the sauna, the steam bath and a whirlpool with bar belong to it. At the same level of the kitchen there is the living-dining room, optically separated by the huge brick-wood stove and the fireside open on three sides. Another hidden terrace, protected against the wind, with open air shower, BBQ place, table and seats, is connected to this area. The Chalet is perfect for the organization of musical events, closed meetings, festivities (birthdays, Christmas, New Year, Easter, anniversaries).
